Asus, a well-known manufacturer of motherboards, is gearing up to support Microsoft’s latest feature called Dynamic Lighting. This feature allows Windows 11 users to have more control over the RGB lighting on their motherboards without the need for a separate application.
Microsoft introduced Dynamic Lighting to Windows 11 in September, marking the first time native RGB lighting controls are available within the operating system. Various manufacturers, including Acer, HP, HyperX, Logitech, Razer, and Twinkly, have joined hands with Microsoft to implement support for this feature.
Asus has already started testing new beta BIOS updates for their AMD 600 and Intel 700 series motherboards to incorporate the Dynamic Lighting support. Once Asus motherboards are updated to support Dynamic Lighting, users will have the ability to adjust brightness, colors, and effects directly within the Settings section of Windows 11. This eliminates the need to rely on Asus’ own Armory Crate tool or third-party RGB controller software like OpenRGB. Additionally, the beta BIOS updates for Intel Z790 boards also include a microcode update that aims to address some of Intel’s game crashing issues.
