Reason for the Delay
According to AMD’s computing and graphics SVP Jack Huynh, the initial production units that were shipped to channel partners did not meet the company’s full quality expectations. As a result, AMD is working with its partners to replace these initial units with fresh ones, ensuring that every Ryzen user has the highest quality experience with the new processors. However, chips that have already been impacted may be permanently degraded and will need to be returned to Intel.
