Google Fiber’s new offerings replace the previous 1 Gig, 2 Gig, 5 Gig, and 8 Gig plans available in other cities. Each plan provides symmetrical upload and download speeds, ensuring that consumers enjoy seamless connectivity across various online activities. The Core 1 Gig plan maintains the pricing of $70 per month, delivering consistent 1 gigabit per second speeds, and comes equipped with GFiber’s advanced Multi-Gig Wi-Fi 6E Router. For users with higher demands, the Home 3 Gig plan, priced at $100 per month, offers a middle ground, featuring speeds up to 3 gigabits per second. Unique to this plan is the “priority room optimization,” which allows for enhanced wired connectivity in essential rooms, catering to households with multiple high-usage devices.
For those requiring even greater bandwidth, Google Fiber has unveiled the $150 per month Edge 8 Gig plan. This premium offering boasts up to 8 gigabits per second of both upload and download speeds, positioning it as an attractive option for tech-savvy households that depend on uninterrupted service. In addition to the same router and mesh extenders, this plan includes coverage for areas up to 5,000 square feet, which is ideal for larger homes or homes with extensive internet usage.
