The origins of this campaign have been traced back to a Tel Aviv-based political marketing firm known as STOIC.
While Meta has encountered artificial intelligence-generated profile photos in influence operations since 2019, this latest report is the first to uncover the utilization of text-based generative AI technology, which emerged in late 2022.
